A tungsten carbide coating provides the same toughness of a solid tungsten carbide part, but at a lower price point. The coating thickness varies based on the size of the part, but is between 0.5mm to 3mm, with a hardness of 91 HRA, and a mirror polish to keep friction at a minimum.
